Leeds v Middlesbrough match pre-veiw

The end of left-back George McCartney's loan spell at Leeds means Ben Parker could make his first appearance in more than eight months.

Midfielder Neil Kilkenny is available to make his final appearance before joining up with the Australia squad ahead of the Asian Cup in Qatar.

Middlesbrough will assess the fitness of Barry Robson, who has been struggling with a virus.

Robson's chances of returning at Elland Road are rated at 50-50.

Leeds are unbeaten in 11 matches and riding high in fourth place, although they have allowed a two-goal lead to slip in their last two matches: a 2-2 draw at Leicester and a 3-3 draw at home to Portsmouth.

Middlesbrough, on the other hand, have had a couple of much-needed victories of late. The Teessiders have climbed out of the bottom three with two wins from their last three matches, having failed to win any of the previous four.

But they face a tough test against Leeds, who are the Championship's top scorers. Simon Grayson's men have netted 44 goals this season and have failed to score in only five games. And matches involving the Yorkshire side have generated an unequalled 84 goals.

That underlines the task facing the visitors, as does Boro's record against top teams this season. They have lost all seven of their away matches against current top-half clubs, and failed to score in five of them.
