Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has targeted Brighton winger
Will Buckley as hopes of landing former Leeds favourite Max Gradel from Saint-Étienne fade
McDermott faces competition for the player from Premiership Sunderland now managed by former Brighton boss Gus Poyet. Sunderland are reported to be in advanced talks with the Seagulls over the player.
However reports suggest Leeds are prepared to top the £1M bid tabled by Sunderland. It remains to be seen if McDermott can persuade the player to remain in the Championship and join Leeds promotion push.
Would be a great signing but think he will go to Sunderland
ReplyDeleteBuckley and that cameron stewart would solve the wing problem undoubtedly. Not too confident we'll get him though. How much financial backing do we actually have though.
ReplyDeleteHe cost Albion nearly £1 million. Miles under-priced at £1.75 million. In contract.
ReplyDeleteWe bought him for £1m. No way would we sell for anything near £1m. £3-4m I would guess.
ReplyDeleteWhy would he go to a team lower than Brighton in the league?
ReplyDeletehe is an excellent player..really good news
