Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Portsmouth midfielder David NorrisThe 31-year-old midfielder has finally agreed to join the Elland Road outfit, subject to passing a medical.Norris follows Jason Pearce and Luke Varney in making the move to the Championship club. And confirmed admirer Warnock believes Norris’ knack of scoring goals from midfield will aid his side’s bid for promotion.‘I’ve always liked him since he was at Plymouth and I’ve followed him since then,’ said Warnock.‘He has good energy and the way we are at the moment you can’t get enough good players in that area.‘I think he’ll fit in well, he’ll fight for his place and give us the competition.‘He’ll be another good signing I think.‘I’m looking for goals from midfield to help us with the loss of (Robert) Snodgrass.‘We need to compensate that even though we’re looking to sign strikers.‘That will go a long way to help us with goals from other areas as well.’

Warnock Raids Pompey Again
Leeds United, and boss Neil Warnock, are attempting to re-unite their new signing Jason Pearce with former team-mates Joel Ward and Greg Halford in an attempt to attract the duo to Elland Road.
It has been well documented in the media recently that Joel Ward is being chased by Leeds, Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town, but it seems the Whites are in pole position.
Reports in Yorkshire are claiming that a deal is close to being agreed, with Pompey expecting to receive a fee of around £500,000 for the local lad.
Now it appears that the Championship side are chasing Portsmouth defender Greg Halford as well, attempting to benefit from Pompey’s last attempt fire-sale in order to try and keep the club alive.
Halford joined Pompey after a six-month spell on loan at Fratton Park, finally making a permanent move for around £1m. With both Pearce’s departure paying off his initial transfer fee, and including a clause that gives Pompey a percentage of his sell-on fee, and Ward’s likely transfer fee and sell-on clause, Halford’s departure would likely be around the same £500,000, making a loss on his departure. Although with two years left on Halford’s contract and some crucial Premier League experience, Halford may attract a slightly larger fee for the Blues.
Warnock is keen to complete a couple of deals before the 25th May when he goes away on holiday, so expect something to happen before then!

Leeds Set to Raid Pomey for Pearce
Leeds United are attempting to land Portsmouth defender Jason Pearce. The Yorkshire club are believed to have approached cash strapped Pompey to take the player on loan with a view to a permanent move.Leeds have tried to tempt Portsmouth with a part payment up front, and with the south coast club deep in the financial mire and desperate to raise cash to pay their outstanding £1.6 million tax bill it looks as if a deal could be on the cards. It appeared that the 24-year-old was on his way out of the club on transfer deadline day but a move to Ipswich failed to materialise.Pearce, who made the switch from Bournemouth in the summer, has established himself as a first-team regular making 26 appearance for the club He became an instant fan favourite establishing himself as one of the most consistent quality players in the team. On Saturday Pearce took the captain's armband in the match against Middlesbrough in a 3-1 loss which could possibly be the clubs last match, this was too much for the 24 year old captain who was reduced to tears at the end of the 90 minutes.
