Leeds Target Summer Striker Swoop

Leeds United are keen on signing Canadian striker Cyle Larin from Besiktas in the summer transfer window following his impressive performances on loan with Zulte Waregem, Fotospor reports. The 24-year-old rose to fame in the MLS with Orlando City, where he scored 44 goals in 89 appearances, which led to a transfer to Besiktas after Cenk Tosun's sale to Everton. Capped 31 times by Canada, Larin continued to catch the eye in Tuyrkey, scoring eight goals in 26 appearances, but was loaned to Belgian side Waregem at the start of the season. Scoring nine goals and contributing nine assists, Leeds are said to be keen on a move for a striker who is valued by Besiktas at an affordable price of £3.4m.

Rangers table offer for Leeds Keeper

Glasgow Rangers are working on a late-window deal to sign giant Leeds United goalkeeper Kamil Miazek.The Scottish giants are in the market for a back-up ‘keeper and have turned their attention to the giant Pole in the final days of the January window. The club have been made aware that Miazek is available and have held discussions with him, including about a contract offer.It was reported last week that Leeds would listen to offers for the 23-year-old ahead of Friday’s transfer cut-off. Rangers are looking for back-up to number one Allan McGregor as his deputy Wes Foderingham is out of contract in the summer and expected to leave. Steven Gerrard’s title chasers extended the contract of third choice Andy Firth last week but they want further competition for the key position. Miazek’s contract expires at the end of the season and Leeds completed the signing last week of 18-year-old Elia Caprile to further bolster their keeping ranks. That could leave 6ft 4in Miazek fourth in the pecking order behind not only undisputed number one Kiko Casilla and his deputy Ilan Meslier but also Caprile. Miazek, who was in goal from the start for the Under-23s in their 2-2 draw against Wolves last week, has yet to play for the Leeds first team.

Leeds Midfielder to join Ipswich

Leeds midfielder Paul Green is reported to be in talks with Ipswich regarding a loan move. Republic of Ireland international Green is out of favour at Elland Road and hasn’t played a first team game for the Whites since October. Green, 30, was previously linked with Ipswich during Paul Jewell’s time as boss, the former Town manager having signed him during his spell at Derby. Green started his career with Doncaster Rovers, joined Derby on a free transfer in the summer of 2008 and then moved on to Leeds in June 2012. He has been capped 20 times by Ireland, scoring once. Green has made 42 starts and four sub appearances during his time with Leeds, scoring four goals, one in last season's 2-0 defeat of Ipswich at Elland Road.

Cardiff City Latest Club linked to Ross McCormack

West Ham United have according to Leeds United manager Brian McDermott abandoned there pursuit of Leeds Captain Ross McCormack ."The bid for Ross was rejected on Friday and I've have spoken to Sam Allardyce since and he has said that they won't be coming back in for him," McDermott told the club's official website. "I'm confident that he will be here after the window closes on Friday. Ross has never asked to leave. He is my captain and he is a talisman for our team. "He scores goals and he makes them as well. He has been a good leader for the team and for me and I'm confident he will remain here. "He has been important since April, since I turned up at the club. I'm sure that he will get better and better and will and we are going to have him for his prime years." However according to reports Cardiff City are set to bid for McCormack.Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been extremely busy so far in the transfer window with moves of Fabio, Kenwyne Jones and Wilfired Zaha set be completed but Cardiff’s business is set to continue with a bid for the leading goal scorer in the Championship.But with Vincent Tan showing he is not scared to back his new manager with cash, Solskjaer is set to make his own bid to land McCormack, who made 74 appearances for the Welsh side during a two-year spell at the club. The former Motherwell striker has scored 17 goals this season and the Norwegian manager believes the 27-year-old can add instant firepower to a side that are currently bottom of the Premier League on goal difference.
