Charlton keen on Whites' out of favour defender

Charlton are looking to land Leeds defender Federico Bessone on loan.

The full-back, who can also operate on the left wing, has been restricted to just a handful of appearances for the Whites this season.

He penned a three-year contract upon his arrival at Elland Road last summer, with Simon Grayson having snapped him up from Swansea.

Bessone has struggled to force his way into the managers' plans, though, and has slipped further down the pecking order following the arrival of George McCartney.
His lack of action has alerted other sides to his potential availability, and Charlton are keen to make their move.

It is understood that the Addicks will look to take Bessone on a short-term agreement until the end of the season.
