Transfer Update

Leeds have stepped up their interest in a loan deal for Jonathan Woodgate, however Ken Bates will only allow talks to commence if Tottenham are willing to pay the majority of his wages. (rumoured to be around 80% of them! )
Middlesborough are also interested and with Woody being a M'Boro fan and the prospect of him returning to his hometown would probably appeal - however the sheer support from Leeds fans for Woodgate would level the playing field.
It's down to 1. Bates / Spurs and 2. Woodgate's preferred destination.

Alan Smith is also NOT on Grayson's agenda, it's just Leeds fans trying to bring back a past that was over 6 years ago. . players change in 6 years. . . plus we would need 11 men left on the pitch after most games if we are going to gain promotion!

Richard Dunne. . .a no-go as Bates has already ruled this out due to his agents 'starting demand' of £19,000 p/wk wages.
