Latest Leeds United Team and Fixture News

Simon Grayson is confident that Tom Lees and Aidan White will prove their fitness and prevent any changes to Leeds United’s defence at Ipswich Town.Lees and White are in danger of missing tomorrow’s Championship game at Portman Road after sustaining minor knocks in the past seven days.Right-back Lees was injured in United’s draw with West Ham United while left-back White hurt a foot during Tuesday night’s Carling Cup victory at Doncaster Rovers. Both youngsters have forced their way into Grayson’s starting line-up since the season began and United’s manager has numerous defensive concerns with Leigh Bromby, Ben Parker and Alex Bruce all carrying injuries of their own.“They (Lees and White) are still doubts but I’m hopeful they’ll come through,” Grayson said.“The international break is going to come at a good time for us because we’ve got a few niggles.”Billy Paynter is likely to feature in the squad at Ipswich after shaking off a thigh strain and Grayson also confirmed that Andy Keogh would be part of his travelling party, despite a knee injury sustained by Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.Keogh is on loan at Elland Road from Wolves but his deal with Leeds contains no recall provision.Grayson said: “With standard loans you can’t bring players back. That’s not an issue for us.”

Meanwhile, United’s meeting with Millwall at Elland Road on Saturday, December 3 has been moved to a 12.30pm kick-off on police advice.

Due to Birmingham's progression into the group stages of the Europa League Leeds United's game at St. Andrew's on Tuesday 27th September is now postponed.
