Snodgrass Delighted with Scotland Goal

Robert Snodgrass was pleased to score on his international debut against Denmark and praised Scotland's performance on the night. The Leeds United striker's header sealed a 2-1 for Scotland against Denmark at a rain-soaked Hampden Park."It's always tough against a side like Denmark - you saw them popping the ball about for fun," said Snoddgrass."But it was a great test for us, especially before the Czech game and I thought ther lads did well."Scotland took a 12th-minute lead against the Danes when Charlie Adam's free-kick was deflected in by William Kvist Jorgensen, but Christian Eriksen equalised nine minutes later with an identical free-kick that caught keeper Allan McGregor off-guard.
Snodgrass headed in the winner two minutes before the half-time interval when he leapt on to a Kenny Miller cross from six yards. The 23-year-old was proud to have scored on his debut and said he wasn't fazed by the Hampden atmosphere."You play week-in-week-out for your club and it gives you a confidence to go and play," said Snodgrass."All the lads here are first class and they give you the confidence to go and enjoy yourself - that's what the manager instills in the players - he gives you a freedom to play."It's a good side we're building here - there's some great talent here, and I'm just glad to be part of it."It's about blending in and getting to know the players."This is my third time being away with the national side and it was great to get on the scoresheet, first and foremost, and it was a great run out for the boys. - it was a great victory."
