Grayson Rallying Call

Leeds United boss Simon Grayson is challenging his players to put together a long unbeaten run to get themselves into the promotion pack.Leeds made it four games unbeaten with a 1-0 win over Portsmouth in their last game and in a wide open championship, Grayson is aware that any club that can put an unbeaten run together can stay in the hunt for promotion.Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Grayson said, "You`ve got to be consistent in your own results and put together runs of eight or ten games unbeaten, just to keep you in the pack."If that happens and you stay up there until Christmas then people can get excited because it gives you the springboard for the rest of the season."Leeds put together a run of twelve games without defeat between the end of October and the New Year last season that saw them occupy one of the automatic promotion spaces after their 2-0 home win over leaders Queens Park Rangers in December.Despite only one defeat in their next eight games, too many draws proved costly for Leeds. This was followed up with just win from their next eight games and in the ultra competitive championship, it proved costly as they eventually finished one place outside the play off positions in seventh.
