Leeds United Takeover....
According to report from various sources the Leeds United takeover seem set to drag on for a while yet.Leeds United manager Neil Warnock speaking on SSN today(Thursday) confirmed that "due diligence" was still taking place.Warnock also seemed to play down the fact that any new investors would be splashing the cash, stating he thought the new owners will be 'thrifty' & he does not expect 'lavish spending'.This could of course be seen as a ploy by Warnock to prevent clubs inflating the price on his transfer targets.Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa is now the name being strongly linked with the Leeds United takeover, with Bahrain's national newspaper,Gulf Daily News, reporting his interest in the club.Shaikh Abdulrahman, who is president of Al Najma Football Club, has been reported as being a long-time Leeds United fan and is believed to have been part of another group that failed in a bid to buy the club in 2003.Sources in Bahrain confirmed that the Shaikh is currently in Europe on business.

The Great Axolotl has seen the future. The future is a bates free zone around ER and the future begins around 4pm today. Heed my words for I, unlike ken, speak the truth. At 4pm I beseech you all to turn on your TV's, turn on your radios, turn on your PC's and laptops, turn on your IPads and smartphones and in but a very short time thereafter you will hear an announcement, an announcement we have waited far too long to hear. It shall be proclaimed by the great gods of ER that the bearded poison dwarf has been overthrown and a time of great prosperity will descend upon the (El)land. The masses shall sing out in jubilation "Hey ho the ken is dead, the wicked ken is dead"
ReplyDeleteIll be hugely surprised if thats true. i will be watching out for it as im a huge huge leeds fan. But i very much doubt there'l be any announcement until late next week. due to the sheik been away on business in europe. I'll eat my hat if your correct.
DeleteThe Great Axolotl has been given signs. The wind of change is blowing through our proud (El)land.
DeleteThe sheikh is in Europe on business but isn't Leeds in Europe?
At 4pm today the bars and restaurants are closing, the ticket office is closing but most importantly ken bates pension fund is closing!
Make haste directly to ER for this is your last chance to fill the coffers of our soon to be ex leader. I impeach you all to give generously one last time to this poor impoverished dwarf who has been forced to live in exile as he will not pay his taxes in our land.
full of shite..
Deleteyeas in deed !!! ha
DeleteI have a sneek feeling something will be announced today. They won't want speculation to go into next week and how ironic it would be to have some positive news on Friday 13th! Also the club are desperate to get hospitality signed up and while this is in the air people are holding back...myself included. So an announcement will allow the commercial team to get running cost revenue in. Today it is guys.... DG, Halifax
ReplyDeleteIsn't leeds business in Europe if he's buying us????
ReplyDeleteI wasnt wrong.. no announcement. i think it will be late next week personally. The whole court case and pre season will be slowing due diligence and yes leeds united is europe, im pretty sure though with all the news of the 'leeds united takeover' he would have been spotted. unless ofcouse hes at ken bates taxhaven!
ReplyDeleteLeeds r getting bought by akbars Bradford
ReplyDeleteI fucking hope not!!
ReplyDeletesheikh abdulrahman bin mubarak Al-khalifa is bates mexican cousin - the sun.
ReplyDeletei dont give a shite who buys it as long as we get rid of that hairy dwarf thieving fucker
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of nads
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of nads
ReplyDeleteYes I think not....!
ReplyDeleteYes I don't think Leeds United are getting take over so your all wrong....!
ReplyDeleteLeeds United will be bought but its Revie's son who's doing it with his Arab friends. There won't be loads of money until we are back in the Premiership (where we belong). So we gotta pray NW can do it otherwise we'll be like a Derby or a Leicester just hanging around doing nothing. Let's hope we get out of the division and get back to the good times.

Long live Ken Bates :)
ReplyDeleteNot long ago we could of gone bust like rangers did and sadly Portsmouth .So whilst I agree Ken Bates might not be my cup of tea he did save us and that's a fact.
ReplyDeleteSo I will always be grateful to Ken Bates.
Be glad when he's gone but will always be grateful.
