Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Boywer is close to landing Leeds United striker Luke Varney.

The Rovers boss has been tracking the much travelled player for a number of weeks and looks set to land his target in the next 24hrs

Former Leeds manager Neil Warnock signed Varney on a free transfer in 2012.Varney has made 48 appearances for Leeds scoring 8 goals
