"BRING ON THE GUNNERS"

 Leeds United have been drawn away to Arsenal in the third round of the F.A.Cup.Leeds famously beat Arsenal 1-0 in the 1972 Centenary Final with Leeds legend Alan "sniffer" Clarke heading the winner.The two clubs have clashed several times in the competition the most recent being in 2004 in the third round at Elland Road Arsenal running out 4-1 winners.In 1997 the two clubs met in the fourth round at Highbury,a Rod Wallace goal seeing Leeds through 1-0.The clubs also met in the fourth round in the 1992-93 season at Highbury Leeds led 2-0 but were pegged back the game ending 2-2.Leeds then bowed out of the competition losing 3-2 in the replay at Elland Road.
The1990-91 season again saw the clubs meet in the fourth round.Four games were needed to settle the tie(no penalty shoot-outs in those days),first game finished 0-0 at Highbury,first replay 1-1 at Elland Road,second replay 0-0 at Elland Road and the third replay Arsenal won 2-1.
Finally in the 1982-83 season the clubs once again met in the fourth round after two 1-1 draws at Highbury and Elland Road Arsenal went through 2-1 at Highbury.
