Grayson: 'Leeds deserve success'

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has claimed the club deserves success after they saw off table-toppers QPR with a 2-0 win at Elland Road on Saturday.
And Grayson thought the win was the least the fans deserved for turning up in their hordes.
“This football club deserves success,” he said. “When you’ve got nearly 30,000 fans [at Elland Road] a week before Christmas and spending their money like they have done.
“I reminded the players about that before the game. We needed to give them something to go home and have a smile on their faces with and near on 30,000 fans will be delighted with it today.
“We’ve got an expectancy level here anyway regardless of where we are in the division at any particular time and rightly so our fans demand the best.
“We’ll try and keep a lid on everything but you can’t get away from the fact of what our fans want and demand at times.”
The club are on a nine-game unbeaten run since losing 4-0 to Cardiff at the end of October and their latest victory moves them up to second in the table, right into the promotion reckoning but Grayson was keen to down play any potential talk of promotion just yet, saying: “We’ve still got a lot of work to do before we achieve anything.
“There are a lot of big teams in it, there’s a lot of top individuals in it. We’ve given ourselves, a little bit like this time last year when we were in the top two of league One, a platform to build off.
“That’s all we’ve done. Nothing’s achieved in December, it’s where you finish in May that matters.
