Faye to leave Leeds

Leeds United will not be extending the short term contract of midfielder Amdy Faye.

Faye signed in October on a short-term deal until January and after making just eight appearances since his arrival, the club and Faye have agreed by mutual consent to end the deal.

The 33 year old made just eight appearances for the club during his short stay.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson was thankful to Faye for helping out around the club despite his lack of appearances, speaking on the official website, Grayson said, "His experience around the team and the training ground has helped us, and we wish him well for the future."

He made six starts, the last of those coming at Coventry City in November. His last appearance for the club was as a substitute in the game at Leicester City on Boxing Day.
