Gradel tells Leeds he wants to Go

West Ham target Max Gradel has reportedly told Leeds that he wants to leave the club this summer.According to the Daily Mail, the £3 million-rated winger has informed his employers of his desire to be sold, amid interest from the east Londoners, as well as from Fulham and Lille.

West Ham are already alleged to have had an offer for the 23-year-old rebuffed by Leeds, but the Hammers may now come back with an improved offer should Gradel attempt to force an exit from Elland Road. Some fans at Elland Road believe that the speculation around Gradel is being fuelled by his Agent who some say is trying to engineer a move for the player. He was rumoured to have told Gradel that he could get him a move to a team playing champion's league football.Gradel had indicated in an interview with a local newspaper that he was willing to sign a new contract. However it was then believed that his agent demanded £25000 per week demands that would break Leeds United's pay structure, the highest paid player at Leeds is on £12000 a week

Gradel was named United's Player of the Year last season after a brilliant campaign that saw him net 18 times in 44 appearances, but it would seem he sees his immediate future away from Leeds.

  1. I know he was a key player last time out, however if Leeds can get £3m for a player who was in Leicester's reserves 12 months ago and prior to that at Bournmouth then it has to be good business. However the money needs to be spent on upgrading the xisting team if we are to progress out of the championship this year. We need a 'Boss' in the midfield area, a couple of decent full backs and a decent creative winger/midfielder in the 'Gordon Strachan' mold. We have or should have in the bank over £1m for Schmeicel so no excuses Mr Bates !!

  2. Congratulations for your blog!
I´m a big Leeds fan from Argentina, and I have my own blog about the Whites: (in spanish lenguage)
