Alan Smith and Woodgate latest news

Any hopes some Leeds fans harboured of" prodigal" son Alan Smith returning to Leeds to aid there promotion drive have been disappeared with the news he could be out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury he picked up against Sunderland.
Smith, 30, had a scan on his injured ankle on Wednesday and complications from a previous injury mean he is likely to be out for an extended spell.
Newcastle United manager Pardew said: "It's an ankle he's had problems with, we think he'll probably be out for the rest of the season
Meanwhile former Leeds and England defender Johnathan Woodgate looks almost certain to join Championship leaders QPR on loan until the end of the season.
