Leeds striker Mike Grella is poised to join Motherwell on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old has struggled to break into Leeds' first-team plans and recently returned from a three-month loan spell at Carlisle, where he made 11 appearances and scored three goals.
Manager Simon Grayson said: "The loan spell clearly did Mike good and this is another opportunity for him.
"Opportunities for him have been limited here with the players we have and this will be beneficial to all concerned.
"The SPL is a good standard and hopefully he will continue to get games and gain in experience."
